LaserTat Now Offering Faster Results with Picosure Laser Technology!

Hi everybody,

We are beyond excited to announce that our brand new PicoSure tattoo removal machine has finally arrived here at LaserTat Port Adelaide!

Why’s this so exciting, you ask?

The current laser machines that we use are incredible at removing black and warmer coloured tattoos, but Q-switch lasers notoriously struggle to treat blue and green inks. Alas, the PicoSure! We’re so excited to now finally offer this groundbreaking technology to our clients after many, many years in the making and previously having to refer clients to other clinics that already use PicoSure technology.

LaserTat is now the only laser tattoo removal clinic in South Australia offering both Q-Switch and PicoSure technology to fade and remove unwanted tattoos.

Below we’ve listed some FAQ’s about what this technology will mean for our services at LaserTat.

What’s so exciting about PicoSure technology?

PicoSure is the world’s first picosecond aesthetic laser machine and the only advanced tattoo removal laser that uses “PressureWave” technology to work with your body to remove unwanted ink.

By delivering ultra-short (one-trillionth of a second!) pulse bursts of energy into the skin, the PicoSure shatters the tattoo ink into tiny particles so that the body can safely and easily eliminate the ink through the lymphatic system. As the laser specifically targets tattoo ink, less heat is transferred to the skin which dramatically reduces the chances of burning, bleeding or discolouration of the skin, as well as the added bonus of less recovery time.

What does the introduction of the Picosure laser mean for our clients?

By simultaneously using our Medlite C6 machines alongside the Picosure laser, we can now fade and remove all tattoos, no matter how stubborn, including:

  • Multi-coloured tattoos — especially blues and greens

  • Thick and heavily inked tattoos

  • Stubborn and previously treated tattoos

Across our two different laser machines, we will now have three different wavelengths to choose from to target different ink colours and different depths of ink more effectively:

  • 1064 wavelength (Medlite C6) — black inks

  • 755 wavelength (PicoSure) — black, blue, green, purple inks

  • 532 (PicoSure or Medlite C6) — reds, pinks, oranges, yellows, purples

Cynosure Medlite C6 vs Cynosure Picosure – which is better?

Both lasers perform well in their own right, so there is no clear winner here!

PicoSure is the latest in laser tattoo removal technology and performs amazingly well on blue and green hues, as well as all other colours of the rainbow. Absolutely no other laser in the industry compares to this, which is why it is known as the Rolls Royce of laser tattoo removal machines (sitting at a very similar price point too, mind you!).

On the other hand, the Medlite C6 is an incredible workhorse in the laser industry. Particularly with the 1064 wavelength which is able to consistently treat black inks and penetrate deeper into the skin to help clear out stubborn pigments.

It’s the combination of both technologies being used together which optimises the capability of removing all colours, depths and types of inks. This is where the magic happens!

Why does LaserTat use Cynosure lasers?

At LaserTat we refuse to settle for anything less than the best! Our highest priority is offering the most effective and safest laser tattoo removal services as possible while providing the utmost consideration and care for all of our clients’ needs.

We only use Cynosure lasers as they are leaders, innovators and best-in-class creators of energy-based aesthetic and medical treatment systems. By investing in Cynosure lasers, LaserTat can continually achieve the best results possible when it comes to laser tattoo removal.

Will tattoos take less time to remove with Picosure?

Each and every tattoo removal varies from person to person. The number of treatments it takes to completely remove a tattoo can depend on the age of the tattoo, the size, location, the colour pigment, the type of ink used, how deep it is in the skin, as well as the effectiveness of each client’s immune system.

By using both the Picosure and Medlite C6 lasers, this means we can increasingly tailor our treatments to suit each individual tattoo which will ultimately result in a faster and more successful removal process!

Are you wondering how long it will take to remove your tattoo? We offer no-obligation consultations with our friendly team to give a more accurate estimate as to how many sessions we might need to remove your tattoo. There is a non-refundable fee of $50 for our consultations which will be deducted from your treatment cost if you decide to go ahead with a laser treatment.
